Ready to build your confidence & start taking yourself more seriously as a photographer?

I’m here to help you own your value, claim what you want in this season of life, and start showing up like a pro.

As a successful wedding photographer and divorced single mom, I know better than most—it’s SO easy for heart-centered women like us to end up in roles we didn’t choose for ourselves.

In past seasons of your life, maybe you’ve felt like you had to put your dreams on the back burner and show up for everyone else. Maybe you’ve been the caretaker, the mother, the supportive partner… All of those things can be beautiful.

But now? You’re ready to own your photography talents, build your confidence, and start showing up like a pro.

Hey, I’m Chelsy—and if you’re here, I believe it’s because you’re ready to show up for yourself, build your confidence as a photographer, and create a business that reflects what you really want for your life.

>> Want to raise your prices without losing clients? We can get you there.

>> Want to pack out your schedule with international weddings and travel the world? We’ll make it happen.

>> Want to book a handful of portraiture shoots on weekends to make a little money and have a little fun? That’s cool too!

Whatever your next brave step is… I’m here to help you take it.

(And yes—I’ll help you book dreamy clients, streamline your business, and make the money you want to make along the way.)

Ready to get started?

My mission is to help you build a photography business that fits with your current season of life & helps you step into more of who YOU really are.

I’ve wanted to be a photographer for years—even as a high school student, I could see myself photographing sweet couples on the most special day of their lives.

But like many high school kids, I felt pressured to make a “responsible” choice… So I went off to college to study business.

THE CURVEBALL

the edge of 17

My hope was that a few years of studying entrepreneurship would prepare me to become one. What ACTUALLY happened was that I married my high school sweetheart, unexpectedly became pregnant with our first child, and—due to a series of complicated events—wound up dropping out of school.

Not exactly how 17-year-old Chelsy saw the next few years going. But I was hellbent on making the best of it.

So with a 6-month-old on my hip and a determination to show everyone I could still achieve my dreams—I started photographing weddings.

Right away, I set to work finding the most efficient, direct path to achieving my goals. Before long, I was booked out with amazing clients, helping joyful, authentic couples all over North Dakota and Kansas celebrate their love stories.

  • Became one of the leading wedding photographers in my area

  • Expanded my business to form an education hub for other photographers who want to book out their sessions and grow a business that fits their current season of life.

  • Grew my family to two sweet kids who keep me on my toes

  • Got divorced, found out how strong and brave I really can be, and took control of where my life and business were actually going

  • Started fresh in my own home, started a cut flower garden, adopted a free-roaming bunny named Waffles, and am currently living my best crazy plant lady life

A LOT has changed since I shot my first wedding. I…

How I Made 17-Year-Old Chelsy’s Photography Dreams Come True

From College Dropout to Thriving Wedding PhotographerFrom College Dropout to Thriving Wedding Photographer

You were put on this earth to be uniquely you and build something only YOU can create.

Scary? Yeah.
Worth it? For sure.

You can trust that I’m always in your corner to help you take the next brave step.

BRAVERY

At Chelsy Weisz Photography, I believe you deserve a business that reflects what matters most to YOU. Here’s what matters most to me…

Streamlining your business doesn’t have to mean reinventing the wheel. I only wear black socks—because it saves me time and mental energy.

What’s your “black socks” decision? Prioritize what matters and keep the rest simple.

EFFICIENCY

(Ask me why all my socks are black)

The thing about growing a successful business… is you’ve gotta treat it like a business.

I believe in putting yourself out there, smart pricing, keeping up with your books, and taking yourself seriously enough to show up like a pro.

CONFIDENCE

Living in the age of Instagram™, it’s so easy to get caught up on needing to be perfect or keep up with the Joneses.

I believe even when your hair is a mess and the laundry’s piling up—you owe it to yourself to show up for your vision.

SHOWING UP

…with a sugar rim, please! Because growing your business should be FUN.

I want you to not just obsess over the destination—but enjoy the journey.

A strong business starts with a strong set of skills. I’ll help you nail your skills in photography, editing, posing, blogging, marketing, and beyond—because growing in your craft is how you grow your confidence!
